Intarsia Christmas Ornaments

Intarsia is the art of creating an image using closely fitted pieces of different colored or painted woods. In this case, we've used it to create ornaments that are as unique as they are lovely to behold.

These rather formal Northern Cardinal ornaments are simply made of Red Cedar and White Pine, mounted on Butternut and lacquered. They measure approximately 3.5" in diameter and are fitted with a monofilament loop for hanging. $35 each or two for $65

These Northern Cardinal ornaments are a bit less formal. The birds are the same, only in this version the snow is painted white and they are mounted on slices of Northern White Cedar. The backings vary in shape, and all measure between 5.5 and 6" from top to bottom. $30 apiece or 2 for $55.

Chickadees are our constant companions here in the State of Maine–in fact, they are the Maine State bird. Like out Cardinals, these little guys are mounted on cedar slices. Some have snow, some sit on branches. No two are ever alike. The backings vary in shape, and all measure between 5.5 and 6" from top to bottom. $30 apiece or 2 for $55.
